Upstream, a Fuji Xerox Company, is one of Australia’s leading print managed solutions companies. With a history spanning over 25 years and the formation of the Upstream Group in 1995, we have concentrated on delivering flexible, cost effective solutions that deliver real value for our clients.
Traditionally suppliers and purchasers worked to get the best deal on equipment costs but gave little focus to operating costs like consumables (paper, toner) service and IT administration. This was a real problem, as more than two-thirds of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of a printer or copier is related to the running expenses rather than the initial capital cost.
We challenged the traditional model of how printers and copiers were sold and supported and offered a better alternative. By introducing this new approach, we were able to offer customers the opportunity to reduce their overall cost by bundling the purchase of equipment, consumables and service.
Whilst many have copied our model, our differentiator remains our experience, size and vendor neutrality. Not only do we give our customers choice by providing equipment from a range of brands, we have extensive buying power through being part of the Fuji Xerox Group and being the largest reseller of Lexmark in Australia.
